The Audacity of a Dream: The Hummingbird School is an audacious dream, a dream that even a child born in the most disadvantaged circumstances can aim for the moon when given the opportunities, love, and support they need. We have seen the magic of this audacity bloom.
These stories show the power of your support. They are why we are reaching out to you today.
Expanding the impact of The Hummingbird School: If this mission calls to you, we invite you to join our journey by providing innovation capital. At any given time, the school is experimenting with teaching and leanring methods, curriculum development etc. For instance, currently, the school is doing action research and developing a Grade 1 and 2 curriculum that is contextual, culturally responsive while maintaining an eye on future skill readiness. The goal is also to create handbooks and resources by next academic year for teachers and educators across Northeast to adopt these into their classrooms. In another example, the grade 9 and 10 students are gearing up to host the second edition of Ammo festival - a children's literary festival. Last year, the festival opened up the world of reading and the joy of stories to 1500+ children of Majuli and nearby districts across 3 days.
Help us to continue innovating and share the gifts of an audacious vision with children across Majuli and the rest of the region. Your gift, no matter the size, contributes to changing lives. Thank you for being a part of our audacious dream.
